He came off as harsh to people around him, but after what he’s been through who could really blame him? Of course, I figured out Delphine’s link to his past rather quickly! It was probably because they have emotions now! I typically don’t like the Dream-Hunter books, but I found myself really enjoying this one, for the most part. The two grow close, despite everything, but war is brewing and they must figure out what side they’re on, who they can trust, and how to survive. The attraction he has for her is undeniable, but he refuses to take advantage of her, even when Azura drugs her and she’s begging him to have sex with her. Azura gives Delphine to Jericho as a gift once she sees his reaction to her. Delphine, being a sleep god, decides to approach him in his sleep, but Azura gets to him first! She convinces him to fight with them in exchange for returning his powers to him.ĭelphine goes back home as a failure, but gets captured when Noir attacks the Oneroi. If he doesn’t the Olympians won’t survive.ĭelphine and Phobos find Cratus working as a mechanic pretending to be mute and going by the name Jericho.
Now Delphine has been tasked to convince Cratus to fight on their side. Source Gods, Noir and Azura, are set on destroying the Olympians. Every night he is tortured and killed only to be brought back to life the following day. Zeus punished him by taking his powers from him, forcing him to live in the human world, and not allowing him any kind of wealth or happiness.
However, that one act caused a lifetime of pain. He took it and gave to a couple to raise. Holding the baby in his hands, he couldn’t harm it. That is until the day he was instructed to kill an infant. He did everything he was ordered to do without question. Cratus was a solider under Zeus’s command.
